<p>Water-based paint for windows with excellent resistance to atmospheric conditions. Very good adhesion to surfaces. Almost odourless and fast-drying, with outstanding colour retention.</p><u>Technical Data:</u><ul><li>Consumption 7 - 9 m²/l</li><li>Sheen - semi-gloss</li><li>Application method - brush, roller</li><li>Application conditions - the surface must be clean and dry (relative moisture content of wood below 20%), air temperature at least +5 ⁰C, relative air humidity below 80%, avoid high temperatures during painting, metal surface temperature must be below +35⁰C</li><li>Drying time (23°C, relative air humidity 50%) - touch dry after 0.50 h, recoatable after 24 h</li><li>Binder - alkyd</li><li>Volume 0.9 l</li></ul><u>Surface Preparation:</u><p>Unpainted surfaces:<br>Clean the surface of dust and dirt. Wash dirty and greasy surfaces with Special Clean cleaning agent, rinse with water and allow to dry. Wash mouldy surfaces with Tikkurila Homeenpoisto, rinse with water and allow to dry. Remove resin from knot areas. Prime new wood surfaces with Villa Protekt as early as possible during the construction stage. Clean metal surfaces (e.g. nail heads) of rust, wash with Special Clean cleaning agent, rinse with water and allow to dry. Prime dried metal surfaces with Universal Korrostop metal primer or another suitable anti-corrosion primer.</p><p>Previously painted surfaces:<br>Remove old paint and rust (e.g. from nail heads). Wash dirty and greasy surfaces with Special Clean cleaning agent, rinse with water and allow to dry. Wash mouldy surfaces with Tikkurila Homeenpoisto, rinse with water and allow to dry. Sand glossy and hard surfaces to a matt finish and remove dust. Wood surfaces cleaned back to bare wood should be primed with Villa Protekt, metal surfaces with Universal Korrostop or another suitable anti-corrosion primer.</p><u>Application:</u><p>Before painting, stir Special Window Akva thoroughly. To achieve a uniform surface tone, mix the required amount of tinted paint from different containers into one vessel before painting. Apply 2 coats with a roller, brush or sprayer. When applying with a roller, finish painting with a brush. Pay particular attention to the edges and ends of wooden elements. When painting window frames, apply the paint so that the glass pane is covered to a width of 1 - 2 mm.</p>
