<p>The tourist axe is specially designed for hikers and outdoor use, suitable for preparing kindling for fires. Thanks to its compact size, it can be easily carried in a backpack or on a belt. It has a very light and durable handle made of FiberComp™ material, which makes the axe nearly unbreakable. Softened elastomer plastic guarantees a more comfortable grip with each axe strike, which also absorbs shock in combination with the hard core. A plastic sheath is included for safe transport and storage.</p><p>The axe blade is made of special high-quality carbon steel (forged), which is easy to sharpen. The blade is precision-ground in a convex shape to make it less susceptible to damage. The rounded edges of the extended wedge of the splitting axe make it easier to pull the axe out when it gets stuck in a log. The blade body is made of steel with a hardness of 48HRC, and the edge from steel with a hardness of 55HRC. The combination of two different blade hardness levels optimizes blade rigidity and durability. PTFE surface treatment reduces friction by 25% and protects the blade from corrosion. The center of gravity of the axe is located very close to the blade, which increases efficiency.</p><p>The axe handle is made of FibreComp material. It is reinforced with fiberglass, making it strong, durable, and lightweight. The material used does not react to changes in weather conditions, and has consistent properties in both dry and wet conditions. The part of the axe used for gripping is made of soft plastic. Thanks to the new technology that allows combining a hard core with a soft surface, impacts are maximally absorbed, the axe is comfortable to hold and does not slip. The fact that the end of the axe handle is widened and covered with elastomer also prevents the axe from slipping out of the hand. The blade will never fall out of the axe, as it is firmly encased in plastic during manufacturing in a special injection press.</p><p>The elegantly designed plastic sheath not only protects the blade during transport and storage, but also increases safety during handling. The sheath is equipped with a handle for more convenient carrying or hanging. The sheath lock, which is easy to open and close, prevents the cover from sliding off the axe blade.</p>
