<p>The Hydrostop S dry run protection device is a flow sensor for the safe operation of single-phase pumps in households, farms, and small water supply systems. It protects the pump from damage in situations where the water supply stops or the pump starts running without water, by timely switching off the unit and thus preventing motor overheating and mechanical component wear. The flow sensor is installed in the pump's delivery pipe as close to the pump as possible, without any valves or other draw-off points in between, ensuring precise flow control. The included plastic tee fitting allows the sensor to be easily screwed into the system, while the built-in socket simplifies pump connection without complex electrical wiring. The minimum operating pressure in the sensor housing is 0.8 bar – if the pressure drops below this threshold, the device shuts off the pump, which can be restarted using the red control button after the system has been refilled with water. Hydrostop S is especially useful for protecting deep boreholes, wells, ponds, and other water supply solutions where there is a risk of reduced water levels or dry suction.
