<p>The active substance imidacloprid works by binding to insect neurons. This binding disrupts the transmission of nerve impulses, which is fatal to the target insect. Ants are attracted by the nutrients contained in the bait. Ants promote the spread of the gel as they move, thereby exposing other pests to its effect and causing poisoning through contact and absorption of the gel through their digestive tract, regardless of their development stage (eggs, larvae, nymphs, pupae, imagos, adults).</p><p>Before use, eliminate all regular ant food sources (waste, food scraps, etc.) in pest gathering areas where possible, to encourage uptake of the gel bait. If ants are indoors, place the bait tray on ant trails, entry points and near the nest. If ants are outdoors, place the bait tray on ant trails, entry points and near the nest. Check the bait trays once a week. During the inspection, review the treated area and replace the bait trays if necessary. Do not use the product on moisture-absorbent surfaces. Do not leave the product in direct sunlight or near heat sources (e.g. do not place directly under radiators). Do not use the product continuously. If, despite following the instructions on the product label, the ant infestation persists, contact a pest control specialist. Outdoors, the product may only be used on covered surfaces (not directly on soil). The product can be used for 2–3 months without replacing the open bait trays or unconsumed bait.</p>
