Before use, ALUKID must be thoroughly mixed. If necessary, thin to working viscosity with white spirit or VAITSOL solvent: 0-5% by volume when applying with a roller or brush. These same solvents are also used for cleaning work tools. Application of ALUKID by spray method is permitted only in painting sections of industrial plants and workshops. Before applying ALUKID, dirt and corrosion products (rust) must be removed from the surface to be painted. In cases where complete removal of corrosion products from the surface is not possible, it is necessary, at a minimum, to remove the loose rust layer and perform the maximum possible surface treatment with abrasive tools such as sandpaper, steel brush, grinding machinery, etc. In this case, a possible reduction in the effectiveness of anti-corrosion protection should be taken into account. Apply to prepared surfaces with a spray gun, brush or roller in 1 - 2 coats if the surface has been previously primed, or 2 - 3 coats when painting unprimed surfaces. Air temperature must not be lower than +5°C, relative air humidity no higher than 85%. Primer-enamel consumption 8-10 m²/l per coat. Drying time at (20±2)°C no more than 12 hours.</p>
