Sap Collection Kit with Bucket

<p>Maple and birch sap collection kit. The kit includes 1 tap for sap draining, 1 x 11 l sap collection bucket, 1 bucket lid.</p><p>Instructions for use:<br>Using a 7 mm drill bit, drill a 3 cm deep hole in the tree, no lower than one metre from the ground. Clean the hole of wood shavings. Using a rubber mallet, drive the plastic tap into the tree with the hook facing downward. Thread the metal wire of the lid through the tap, connecting the two. Hang the sap collection bucket on the tap hook and leave it on the tree with the lid closed.<br>When the sap loses its clarity or when the tree begins to bud, the drill hole must be plugged with a wooden plug. At the end of the season, use a branch from a deciduous tree of the appropriate diameter (7–8 mm) as the plug. The plug should be inserted into the drill hole and driven in fully with a rubber mallet, with any excess length sawn off. It is recommended to inspect the tree after a couple of weeks to ensure it has not pushed out the plug. If the plug has been pushed out, re-seal the drill hole with a deciduous tree branch.</p>
