To protect joints that are not on the frame from the effects of weather conditions, a wooden batten must be nailed beneath the joint, to which the board ends are fixed. Boards are fastened with nails or staples. Nailing of windbreak boards is made easier by the longitudinal stripe located in the centre of the board. At least 40 mm hot-dip galvanized broad-head nails or 32 mm long staples are used. The distance of nails or staples from the board edge must be at least 10 mm.
