<p>Two-component epoxy kit for restoring cast iron baths and other enamel surfaces.</p><u>Advantages:</u><ul><li>Environmentally friendly, odourless</li><li>Resistant to bacteria and mould</li><li>The kit includes everything needed to restore a cast iron bath</li><li>Easy to use</li><li>The dried paint is hygienic and food-safe contact is permitted</li></ul><u>Instructions:</u><p>Sand the bath surface with coarse sandpaper. Remove dirt, grease and dust. The surface must be dry. Cover the bath mixer and edges along the bath with masking tape. Use a foam roller for application. If there are areas in the bath with no enamel, the coating must be restored using PENOSIL Premium FastFix Aqua epoxy filler. If necessary, sand the coated areas until the entire bath surface is even.</p><p>Priming: thoroughly mix the primer and hardener together. The pot life of the primer after mixing at +20 °C is approximately 45 minutes. When applying with a roller, pour part of the primer into the bath, so a paint tray/palette may not be needed at the start. The bath can be painted 12–24 hours after priming.</p><p>Painting: before applying the enamel coat onto the primed surface, perform intermediate sanding and then clean the sanding dust from the primed bath surface. Then thoroughly mix the enamel and hardener together. Use a roller or a high-quality brush for painting. The pot life of the enamel after mixing with the hardener at +20 °C is approximately 45 minutes. When applying with a roller, pour part of the enamel into the bath, so a paint tray/palette may not be needed at the start. The bath is ready for use after 7 days (drying temperature from +20 °С, air humidity up to 80%). Before first use, clean the bath surface with soap and water.</p><u>Recommendations:</u><ul><li>Do not start painting before the surface is clean and dry</li><li>Application temperature is from +10 °C to +30 °C</li><li>Drying temperature must not be lower than +20 °С, air humidity <80%</li><li>Working time after mixing the paint with the activator is approx. 1 hour</li><li>Suitable tools are a paint roller (foam) or a high-quality brush</li><li>The base colour tone is white; to tint, add water-soluble tinting paste to both the primer and the paint</li><li>The painting process consists of 2 stages</li><li>The bath is ready for use 7 days after painting</li><li>Not suitable for sheet metal or plastic baths</li><li>The use of products containing highly active colorants (hair and fabric dyes, bath foams and bombs) may cause permanent changes to the enamel coating of a bath coated with epoxy paint</li></ul>
