Compost Soil for Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Blueberries 20L

A special mixture of organic and mineral substances, designed for growing azaleas and rhododendrons. The most important properties of the mixture are its appropriate acidity and the long-lasting fertility provided by the compost. Thanks to its composition, the mixture is very close to the soil in natural rhododendron habitats — it is loose and absorbs moisture well.

Hydrangeas, lingonberries, blueberries, and other plants that require acidic soil can also be planted in this mixture.
Repotting:

Before repotting indoor azaleas, it is recommended to water them thoroughly. Once the soil is moist, remove the plant and place it in a prepared spot in a flower bed or a slightly larger flower pot.

When planting rhododendrons in open ground, the layer of compost and peat mixture should be no less than 40 cm. Rhododendrons and azaleas are best planted in the shade of larger trees, fences, or buildings to protect them from direct midday sunlight.

Watering and Care:

Due to their shallow roots close to the soil surface, rhododendrons and azaleas are sensitive to lack of moisture, so do not allow the soil to dry out.

Azaleas are a type of deciduous rhododendron. They are grown both indoors and outdoors. They do not tolerate drafts or dry air. If the plant does not bloom in winter, it can be kept in a cooler location. It is recommended to prune and repot plants after they have finished flowering.

Raw Materials:

High moor peat - 91%

Compost - 9%

pH 3.5 - 4
