Ready-to-use substrate for acid-loving plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas, heathers or hydrangeas. A humus-rich soil with a stable structure that contains all the nutrients necessary for growth. Soil for rhododendrons is especially suitable for rhododendron, azalea, hydrangea and erica species, as well as plants that are sensitive to lime. Rhododendrons and other plants that require acidic soil need a humus-rich and above all acidic soil, so a specialist soil must be used.Effects:<ul><li>Soil for rhododendrons loosens heavy soils, retains moisture and prevents the plant's root ball from drying out too quickly.</li><li>Provides the best growing conditions and air access to the roots, as the soil has a very good and stable structure.</li><li>Soil for rhododendrons is a ready-to-use soil that provides a balanced amount of basic nutrients for better and faster plant growth.</li></ul>Establishing a new planting in open ground:Dig out and remove the soil to a depth of approx. 25 – 40 cm and replace it with soil for rhododendrons. The planting hole must be 4 times larger than the root ball of the plant to be planted. Place the plant in the prepared hole, fill the hole with soil for rhododendrons and compact it well. Afterwards, make sure to water the planted plant thoroughly.For repotting potted plants and plants in tubs:For repotting azaleas, for example, use a pot 2 – 4 cm larger than the old one. Place a layer of soil for rhododendrons on top of a drainage layer of clay balls or gravel. Hold the root ball of the plant in the centre of the pot and fill it with soil. Press the soil down and water thoroughly.Soil improvement:For older plantings, we recommend applying a 5 – 10 cm thick layer of soil for rhododendrons every year (in spring).
