<p>FIBO® Effect blocks with tongue-and-groove connection are blocks designed for exterior walls and load-bearing structures with a compressive strength of 3 MPa. Their dimensions match those of existing standard blocks, but the innovative tongue-and-groove connection allows walls to be built without mortar in the vertical joints, and the wall surface comes out significantly smoother, resulting in expected savings on mortar and finishing materials. For particularly heavily loaded walls, e.g. in projects designed for foundations and retaining walls, full vertical joints are laid (as specified by the structural designer or construction engineer).</p><p>Fibo Effect blocks are the most widely used Fibo product in Latvia, extensively used for the construction of exterior walls and other load-bearing structures. Unlike the narrow Fibo Effect blocks intended for interior walls, the wide exterior wall blocks retain the historically established height of 185 mm. Their dimensions and properties are ideally matched with Fibo lintels and other Fibo products used in load-bearing structures — foundation footing blocks, foundation blocks, and U-blocks.</p><p>The innovative 10 mm tongue-and-groove connection allows blocks to be precisely aligned and walls to be built without mortar in the vertical joints. Faster masonry work with lower mortar consumption. Easier construction of straight walls. A smoother masonry surface that saves finishing time and materials.</p><p>The blocks have excellent thermal and sound insulation properties. Fibo Effect exterior walls comply with the standards of all the most popular facade insulation systems. </p><p>Low water absorption — the masonry does not require prolonged drying. Accelerates the start of finishing work. When warm weather arrives, Fibo Effect exterior walls can be finished approximately one month after construction. </p><p>An environmentally friendly, ecologically clean material. Fibo Effect exterior walls contain no hazardous compounds or gases, and do not promote mold or rot.</p><p>Excellent expanded clay concrete quality — does not crumble and causes no over-consumption.
