Universal glossy easy-to-apply alkyd enamel. PENTAPRIM enamel is intended for outdoor and indoor use. Suitable for painting wood and primed metal surfaces. Applicable for finishing both new, previously unpainted surfaces as well as surfaces previously painted with alkyd and uralkyd enamels. When applying with a brush or roller, thinning is usually not necessary. If needed, thin to optimal working viscosity with white spirit or VAITSOL solvent — up to 4% by volume when applying with a roller or brush, up to 10% by volume when applying by spraying.Surface preparation:The surface must be dry and free from grease (oil stains), peeling paint, and dirt before painting. Previously painted glossy surfaces must be treated with sandpaper to remove the gloss.Surface priming:Steel surfaces used in atmospheric conditions must be primed with primers GF-021, NOVAKOR, RIATOP PRIMER or NEOSPRINT PRIMER. Aluminium and galvanised surfaces must be primed with primers VL-02 or NEOSPRINT PRIMER. Previously unpainted wood surfaces used in atmospheric conditions must be treated with the colourless wood protection product TEKSTURDEKOR EC base or with the wood structure impregnation agent WOOD PROTECT GREEN, WOOD PROTECT BROWN.Painting:Apply the enamel in 1 – 2 coats, provided that the ambient air and surface temperature is not lower than +5ºC and the relative air humidity is not greater than 85%. Apply with a brush, roller, sprayer or airless spraying equipment (nozzle diameter 0.011" – 0.017"). During hot drying, the temperature must not exceed +80ºC. Coverage per coat 8 – 12 m²/l. Drying time at +20ºC temperature with relative air humidity of 50% is no more than 24 hours.
