<p>Multifunctional weather-resistant urethane alkyd enamel. Areas of use: 1) Painting steel surfaces used outdoors and indoors. Thanks to the corrosion inhibitors included in the composition, it reliably protects metal surfaces. It is permitted to apply directly onto steel surfaces or onto surfaces previously primed with alkyd primers manufactured by RILAK. 2) Painting wooden and concrete floors indoors. It may also be used for painting wooden floors (planks laid on balconies, terraces, lofts, etc.) that are used outdoors, provided that the surface is not exposed to constant static water action. Long-term static water action (for example, in cases where water accumulates on the painted wooden surface forming long-drying puddles) can cause it to penetrate the wood through defects (or damage) in the painted surface. This will lead to swelling of the wood, which in turn can cause cracking of the coating. Using PENTATOP UNIVERSAL enamel for painting concrete floors used outdoors is not permitted.</p><u>Properties:</u><ul><li>Glossy</li><li>Product intended for indoor and outdoor use</li><li>Roller application permitted</li><li>Brush application permitted</li><li>Spray application permitted</li><li>Product can be tinted</li><li>Solvent can be used for thinning and tool cleaning</li><li>Drying time 16 h</li><li>Consumption 9 - 11 m²/l</li><li>Volume 0.9 l</li></ul><u>Surface preparation:</u><p>Before applying PENTATOP UNIVERSAL, dirt and corrosion products (rust) must be removed from metal surfaces. If complete removal of corrosion products is not possible, it is necessary to at least remove the loose rust layer and carry out maximum possible surface cleaning with abrasive means (sandpaper, steel brush, grinding tools, etc.). In this case, it should be noted that the effectiveness of anti-corrosion protection may be slightly reduced. Remove dirt from the floor surfaces to be painted. Before applying PENTATOP UNIVERSAL onto previously painted surfaces, it is necessary to carry out a test painting on a small area of the surface, followed by an interlayer adhesion check. New concrete surfaces may be painted no sooner than 28 days after laying (having previously cleaned them of lime wash; see separate instructions for concrete surface preparation). The absolute moisture content of the concrete must not exceed 4%. Wooden floors used outdoors are recommended to be primed beforehand with the colourless wood protection paint TEKSTURDEKOR.</p><u>Application:</u><p>Before use, thoroughly stir PENTATOP UNIVERSAL, and if necessary, thin with white spirit or VAITSOL solvent to working viscosity: 0 – 10% by volume. Apply PENTATOP UNIVERSAL onto clean and dry prepared surfaces with a brush, roller or spray in 1 – 2 coats when painting primed surfaces or 2 – 3 coats when painting unprimed metal surfaces. When painting floors, apply the enamel in 2 coats with a brush or roller. The temperature of the air and the surface to be painted must not be lower than +5°C. Relative air humidity must not exceed 85%. Enamel consumption 9 – 11 m²/l per coat. Drying time at (20±2)°C no more than 16 hours.</p>
