Previously lacquered glossy surfaces should be sanded to a matte finish and sanding dust carefully removed. The moisture content of the surface to be lacquered must not exceed 12%. Rough wood surfaces should be lightly moistened, allowed to dry, and the raised fibres sanded down, then sanding dust carefully removed. For previously lacquered surfaces, it is recommended to perform a compatibility test on a small area. Sanding should be done along the wood grain, starting from the bottom, and after each sanding pass, dust must be carefully removed from the surface, floor and surrounding areas. Clean wood surfaces should be primed with a special wood primer or diluted parquet lacquer (10 - 15%).

Recommended air temperature +18 to +25°C, lacquer temperature +15 to +25°C, relative humidity 40 - 75%. Lacquering in direct sunlight, draughts and high temperatures may cause defects.

Before use and during application, stir the lacquer thoroughly, avoiding bubble formation, so that the gloss additive is evenly distributed. Apply 2 – 3 coats with a roller or 4 – 5 coats with a spatula, lacquering along the wood grain in a continuous layer. It is recommended to start floor lacquering in the direction of light and to cover the entire floor at the same time. Lightly sand the first coat with fine sandpaper (No. 240) and carefully remove dust; sanding between subsequent coats is not necessary. Apply the next coat only after the previous coat has fully dried. The number of lacquer coats depends on the porosity of the wood, the tool used and the desired wear resistance. Do not exceed 2 coats per day and allow the previous coat to dry for at least 12 hours before applying the next. If the surface requires colouring, use Wood Lasur Aqua or Decor Beitz as the first coat, then apply Parquet Lacquer WE.

Floors intended for intensive use should preferably be made from hardwood. Softwoods, such as spruce or pine, may deform even after lacquering. During lacquering, maintain consistent humidity, temperature and good ventilation, avoiding draughts. In dry, hot rooms, reduce ventilation to avoid excessively fast drying, which may cause defects in the lacquer layer.

Drying time at 20ºC and 65% relative humidity, when applied with a paint spatula, 0.5 - 1 hour, with a roller 1 - 2 hours. The time between applying the primer coat and the subsequent lacquer coat on the surface is at least 12 hours. The lacquered surface becomes wear-resistant after 1 - 2 weeks. After that, water can be used for surface cleaning and, if necessary, neutral or mildly alkaline (pH 6 - 8) cleaning agents and a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use organic solvents, abrasive cleaning agents or rough sponges or brushes.

Work tools – lacquer roller, lacquer spatula (stainless steel). Use high-quality tools. The lacquer roller, even if new, must be cleaned of loose fibres before use. Work tools must be clean, dry and free of loose parts (roller fibres). Clean tools with water.

To achieve maximum strength, the recommended lacquer consumption is 3 - 3.5 m²/l (300 g/m²)
