Wood Fibre Windbreak Board Isoplaat 1875x1200x25mm with Tongue and Groove

Windbreak boards are used in building exterior wall, ceiling and roof structures as a wind protection, thermal insulation and structural rigidity-enhancing element.
Properties:

Protects the structure from the effects of weather conditions

Natural and breathable material

100% wood fibre

Suitable material for supporting loose-fill and fibrous insulation materials

Additional thermal insulation

Sound insulation

Dimensionally stable in shape and size

Cold bridge elimination without seam treatment with adhesive tape

For use on roofs with a slope above 20°

Suitable as a base surface for plastering

Installation:
Windbreak boards are fastened to the frame at 600 mm intervals so that a gap of 2–3 mm remains between the board edges. To protect the joints that are not on the frame from the effects of weather conditions, a wooden batten must be nailed beneath the joint, to which the ends of the boards are fixed. Boards are fastened with nails or staples. A longitudinal line in the centre of the board makes nailing windbreak boards easier. Unlike standard windbreak boards, tongue and groove boards are installed horizontally (across the frame). This eliminates the possibility of board joints not aligning with the frame (no need for additional work – installing wooden battens, adhesive tapes, etc.) – cold bridges are completely eliminated (install boards offset from one another where possible). The distance of nails or staples from the board edge must be at least 35 mm (to avoid damage to the tongue). Nails/staples at the board edge are fastened at 100–150 mm intervals, and in the centre of the board at a minimum of 200 mm intervals.
Technical Data:

Size 1875 x 1200 x 25 mm

Density ≥240 kg/m3

Thermal conductivity λD ≤ 0.049 W/mK

Fire resistance class E

Bending strength ≥0.8 N/mm2
