Moment FIX Wood Construction Adhesive 385g

Construction adhesive for wood materials.
Properties:

For absorbent surfaces indoors

Initial bond 350 kg/m2, no mechanical support required during drying

Very good bond, especially with wood

Solvent-free – ideal for sensitive surfaces (e.g. polystyrene foam)

Odour-free – also ideal for use in apartments/homes

Can be painted after curing

Surface is quickly and easily cleaned

Dries quickly on absorbent surfaces

Fills gaps up to 10 mm wide

80% of the cartridge is made from recycled plastic

Application areas:

Wood and wood-based materials (e.g. panels, profiles, chipboards)

Plastered surfaces indoors

Concrete

Aerated concrete

Pumice

Fibre concrete

Bricks

Styrene/mortar/cardboard panels and rigid polyurethane foam

Not recommended for bonds permanently submerged in water

Instructions for use:

Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are clean and free from dust, grease and oil; surfaces must not be permanently damp

To ensure a firm, secure bond, one surface must be porous, as water must evaporate for bonding to occur

For highly water-absorbent substrates such as gypsum, MDF, chipboard (not OSB) and clay bricks, the adhesive may dry too quickly along the outer perimeter of the application area, resulting in improper bonding on the inside

To achieve proper bonding on highly absorbent substrates, moisten the surface with a bottle sprayer or damp cloth before bonding

Before applying adhesive to decorative polyurethane panels, remove adhesive residues with sandpaper or a solvent such as acetone

Cut the end of the cartridge above the screw thread, attach the plastic nozzle and cut the nozzle tip at an angle

Insert the cartridge into the gun

Apply adhesive to one of the surfaces to be bonded (in dabs to level uneven surfaces, in wave patterns for larger surfaces for better initial bond, or in straight lines for smaller surfaces)

When using outdoors, apply in vertical lines

To stop the flow of adhesive, release the gun trigger after each use

For bonding panels, plastic decorative elements, acoustic panels, etc., place the panel 1–2 cm away from the bonding area, then slide it into the required position and press firmly

If the substrate is smooth and rigid, panels can be bonded directly to the surface

For uneven surfaces, we recommend creating mechanically fixed substructures from small wooden panels or rigid polystyrene or polyurethane foam strips (width 5–10 cm, thickness 5–20 mm, distance between strips 30–65 cm depending on the panels being bonded)

Remove all adhesive residues immediately with a damp cloth

Cured material can only be removed mechanically

Density approx. 1.30 g/cm3

Heat resistance from –20°C to +70°C

Working temperature from +10°C to +40°C

Initial bond 35 g/cm3

Final strength (DIN EN 205) from 4 to 5 N/mm²

Curing time 12 h

Consumption for a 6 mm strip approx. 11 m or approximately 400 g/m²
