<p>Kiilto XPU is a fast-curing, polyurethane-enhanced silyl-based adhesive sealant, formulated on polymer technology. Suitable for bonding and sealing structural joints of various materials (e.g. welded seams). Typical applications include truck bodies, residential trailers, buses and trains. In construction, it is used for bonding insulation panels, skirting boards, sinks and toilet seats, for example. Also suitable for use with Kiilto single-component waterproofing membranes for sealing wall joints and for sealing panels and connections in wet rooms. Good adhesion to various types of stone, concrete, most metals, wood, glass and glazed surfaces, as well as epoxy and polyester surfaces. When used with plastic and rubber materials, adhesion tests are recommended before actual use. Complies with M1 building material emission classification. Excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials — in most cases, priming is not required. Flexible yet mechanically durable joint. Does not contain PVC or solvents. Almost odourless. Good resistance to chemicals (weak solutions). Good resistance to weathering and ultraviolet radiation. Almost no shrinkage. Paintable with most paints (always test before use). Best results can be achieved by cleaning metal surfaces with Kiilto Cleaner 303 and then priming them with Kiiltoflex Metalliprimer. Apply the adhesive to the surface and, if necessary, smooth it with a spatula. When bonding large, uniform surfaces or surfaces in very dry conditions, it is advisable to lightly spray them with water (approx. 5 – 10 g/m²). After use, close the packaging carefully. Uncured product can be removed with Kiilto Cleaner 303 or acetone. Cured product can only be removed mechanically. Ambient conditions such as air temperature, temperature of the bonding surface, material and humidity, as well as the amount of adhesive applied, significantly affect the skin formation time and curing. Therefore, the values given are for guidance only.</p>
