Previously varnished glossy surfaces must be sanded to a matte finish and thoroughly cleaned of sanding dust. The moisture content of varnished wood must not exceed 20%. Recommended surface and air temperature: +5 to +25°C, relative humidity 40 - 75%. New dense wood surfaces are recommended to be cleaned with white spirit; rough surfaces – moistened with water, dried, and sanded. In the case of previously varnished surfaces, check compatibility with the old varnish on a small area. Very dirty surfaces should be washed with EasyClean; for mold removal use Biotol E and then rinse the surface. Previous coatings made with water-based varnish require complete removal. Outdoor wooden surfaces must first be treated with Aura Biostop impregnating primer and primed with diluted varnish.

Before use, thoroughly stir the varnish and stir occasionally during work as well. Apply the varnish with a brush, spatula, or sprayer. It is recommended to apply 2 – 3 coats along the wood grain, from edge to edge, choosing the working direction in the direction of light incidence. Each subsequent coat should be applied after the complete drying of the previous one. Before applying the second coat, lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper (approx. 150) and remove dust. Use tinted varnish only on the first coat, checking the tint on a small area beforehand, as the varnish may change shade on different types of wood. For varnished surfaces with high load, it is recommended to choose strong wood, avoiding easily deformable species. When varnishing, ensure even humidity, ventilation, and stable temperature. Avoid drafts and in dry, hot rooms reduce ventilation to prevent uneven drying or film defects.

Drying time - 4 hours, recoating after 24 hours at 23ºC and 50% relative humidity. At lower temperatures and higher humidity, drying time increases. The varnished surface achieves wear resistance after 2 weeks. For surface cleaning, use water and, if necessary, neutral or mildly alkaline (pH 6 - 8) detergents and a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use organic solvents, abrasive cleaning agents, or rough sponges or brushes.

Work tools - brush, varnish roller, varnish spatula. Use high-quality tools. A varnish roller, even a new one, must be cleaned of loose roller fibers before use. Work tools must be clean, dry, and must not have any loose parts (brush or roller fibers). Immediately after varnishing, clean tools with white spirit.
