After grinding pine bark, approximately 10% of the grind consists of these decorative, fragrant pine bark pieces of 30–50 mm. When sorting the mulch grind, great attention is paid to ensuring that the fractions are completely separated and that smaller bark fragments do not end up in the coarse mulch bags.</p><p>Mulch is used to stimulate microbial activity in the soil, reduce soil erosion caused by falling water droplets, to protect plants from the adverse effects of water droplets, reduce moisture evaporation from the soil and protect it from overheating. To protect plants from the spread of diseases and avoid creating a favourable environment for plant pest reproduction. It also protects plants from frost, controls the spread of weeds, suppresses their growth, beautifies the surrounding environment, releases a pleasant pine fragrance, and saves costs and time in plant maintenance. If the purpose of mulching is not only to improve soil quality but also to maintain long-term visual appeal, a base layer (organic geotextile, black agro-film) should be laid under the mulch to prevent the top layer of mulch from settling.</p><p>Mulch fraction 30 - 60 mm.</p>
