Mizu Bark Mulch Medium 7-30mm 2nd Grade 50L

100% organic product for mulching plants and undergrowth, as well as flower gardens, rock gardens, landscaping and environmental decoration.

This is the most versatile fraction. Medium-ground mulch is both aesthetically appealing — consisting of individual, easily visible golden-brown bark pieces with a small admixture of chips — and effective: it covers the soil densely thanks to the small size of the mulch pieces, which allows them to pack closely together, retains moisture and temperature in the soil well, and decomposes more easily than coarse-ground mulch. This type of mulch can be used for plants of any size and is perfectly suited for use in perennial plantings. Mulch should be spread in a layer at least 5–7 cm thick, and topped up by approximately 1 cm each year, as the mulch gradually decomposes, thereby enriching the soil with humus.

Mulch is used to stimulate the activity of microorganisms in the soil, reduce soil erosion caused by falling water droplets, protect plants from the adverse effects of water droplets, reduce moisture evaporation from the soil and protect it from overheating. To protect plants from the spread of disease and to avoid creating a favourable environment for the reproduction of plant pests. It also protects plants from frost, controls the spread of weeds and suppresses their growth, beautifies the surrounding environment, releases a pleasant pine fragrance, and saves costs and time in plant maintenance. If the goal of mulching is not only to improve soil quality but also to maintain long-term visual appeal, a base layer (organic geotextile, black agricultural film) should be laid under the mulch to prevent the settling of the top mulch layer.

Mulch fraction 7–30 mm.
