The nozzle should be cut so that a sufficient opening is formed for dispensing. Insert the cartridge with the applicator into the gun and fill the applicator with sealant by pressing the gun trigger several times. Apply the sealant to the joint by repeatedly and evenly pressing the gun trigger while smoothly drawing the applicator along the joint. After applying the sealant, smooth it with a rubber spatula. Remove excess sealant. If necessary, adjacent surfaces can be protected from smearing with, e.g., painter's tape. The tape must be removed immediately after completing the work or after the sealant has cured. For wider and moving joints, a polyethylene backer rod should be used as a backing material to ensure the correct sealant thickness and shape and to avoid three-sided adhesion. Ensure adequate ventilation at all joint areas. During the curing process, make sure that dirt cannot settle on the surface and that the joint surface is not subjected to mechanical load.</p><u>Recommendations</u>:<ul><li>Surfaces must be clean and free of grease, oil, dust and dirt that may affect adhesion</li><li>The surface to be coated must be dry</li><li>Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with a suitable solvent and a clean, lint-free cotton cloth</li><li>Solvent residues must be removed with a clean cloth before they evaporate</li><li>All joints must have adequate ventilation</li><li>During curing, ensure that contaminants cannot settle on the surface and that mechanical load does not affect the joint surface</li><li>Do not use at temperatures below +5 °C</li><li>Do not use for sealing aquariums and underwater joints.</li><li>Cannot be painted over</li><li>Do not apply to bitumen or tar-based substrates or materials that release oils, plasticisers or solvents (e.g., natural rubber, chloroprene, EPDM, …)</li><li>No adhesion to PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®)</li><li>We do not recommend using this product for sealing natural stone surfaces</li><li>As polycarbonates vary greatly, please test compatibility first</li><li>As substrates vary greatly, we recommend performing a prior compatibility and adhesion test.
