Previously varnished glossy surfaces must be sanded to a matte finish and sanding dust carefully removed. The moisture content of varnished wood must not exceed 20%. The recommended surface and air temperature is +5 to +25°C, varnish temperature +18 to +25°C, relative humidity 40 - 75%. New, dense wood surfaces (e.g. oak or beech) should be cleaned with white spirit. Rough wood surfaces can be slightly moistened with a jet of water, allowed to dry, and the raised wood fibers sanded down, carefully removing sanding dust. For previously varnished surfaces, it is recommended to test the compatibility of the old and new varnish on a small area. For very dirty surfaces, use EasyClean cleaner, and for mold removal - Biotol E (Biotol Spray). After using the anti-mold agent, wash the surfaces with water and allow them to dry. Priming is not necessary for previously varnished surfaces. Clean wood surfaces must be primed with a mixture of varnish and white spirit in a ratio of 5:1. Outdoor wooden surfaces must first be treated with Aura Biostop wood impregnation primer and then primed with diluted varnish.

Before varnishing, mix the varnish thoroughly and carefully to avoid forming bubbles, and stir it periodically during work to ensure the gloss additive and tinting paste are evenly distributed. Apply 2 - 3 coats along the wood grain, in a continuous direction from edge to edge, preferably in the direction of light, to cover the entire surface evenly. The number of varnish coats depends on the porosity of the wood and the desired surface wear resistance. Before applying the next coat, the previous layer must be completely dry. Lightly sand the first coat of varnish with fine sandpaper (approx. 150) and carefully remove sanding dust. If varnishing with tinted varnish, use it only for the first coat to achieve the desired color tone. The final tone of the varnished surface will depend on the type of wood and the number of coats applied. For high-load surfaces, it is recommended to use durable wood, as soft wood species such as spruce, pine, and linden deform even after varnishing. During varnishing, ensure uniform humidity, temperature, and good ventilation, but avoid drafts. If work is carried out in a dry and hot room, reduce ventilation to prevent the formation of coating traces or a lower-quality varnish film due to excessively fast drying.

Drying time - 4 hours, recoating after 24 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. At lower temperatures and higher humidity, the drying time increases. The varnished surface achieves wear resistance after 2 weeks. For surface cleaning, use water and, if necessary, neutral or mildly alkaline (pH 6 - 8) detergents and a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use organic solvents, abrasive cleaning agents, or rough sponges or brushes.

Work tools - brush, varnish roller, varnish spatula. Use high-quality tools. A varnish roller, even a new one, must be cleaned of loose roller fibers before use. Work tools must be clean, dry, and must not have any loose parts (brush or roller fibers). Immediately after varnishing, clean the tools with white spirit.
