Primer Concentrate Mira 4180 Primer 5 kg

Acrylic-based primer for porous surfaces before applying levelling compounds, waterproofing, tile adhesives, etc. Mira 4180 primer is used on concrete, gypsum and other mineral substrates, as well as on wood and plasterboard.
Properties:

Very good adhesion

Tinted yellow

Deeply penetrating

Reduces air bubbles

Seals pores

Consumption diluted 0.08 - 0.1 l/m², undiluted 0.1 - 0.2 l/m²

Application temperature +10 to +25°C

Drying time 1 - 2 h

Packaging 5 kg

Application:
For absorbent surfaces, use 1 part mira 4180 primer diluted with 3 parts water; for less absorbent surfaces, use 1 part 4180 primer with 2 parts water. Use as a concentrate on wood surfaces to ensure adhesion between the substrate and subsequent layers, such as screeds, waterproofing or tile adhesive.

The substrate must be stable and free of dirt, oil, grease, paint, adhesive residues and loose particles. Holes, cracks or similar openings must be repaired with a suitable levelling compound, filler or repair mortar (waterproof).

Priming is carried out once the substrate is prepared and dry enough to allow the primer to be applied to the substrate. Absorbent substrates such as concrete, lightweight concrete or plaster are primed with 4180 primer diluted with water at a ratio of 1 part primer to 3 parts water. The primer is applied to the substrate with a brush or roller. For less absorbent substrates, use a ratio of 1 part primer to 2 parts water. Non-porous substrates, such as paint and ceramic tiles, must be primed with undiluted primer. To achieve even better adhesion, dry cement powder can be sprinkled over the primer. Wood substrates must be primed with undiluted primer.
