Deep Penetrating Primer CT17 1L High Absorption

Ceresit deep penetrating primer CT 17 is a professional priming agent designed for strengthening and preparing mineral substrates before ceramic tile adhesion, floor laying, plastering or applying filler. This product significantly improves the substrate's adhesion capacity while reducing its absorption, thus ensuring even and secure application of subsequent layers. CT 17 is particularly useful in areas where there is a risk that adhesive or filler mortar will dry too quickly due to a weak or highly porous substrate.

The synthetic resin dispersion used in the CT 17 formula penetrates deep into the material's structure, strengthening the surface without increasing its overall mechanical strength. It is suitable for both interior and exterior use, including on plaster, concrete, monolithic floors and other absorbent base materials. The product is especially recommended for use on gypsum and aerated concrete surfaces, as well as chipboards and unimpregnated plasterboard sheets. The yellow colour allows visual control of application quality, which is practical for uneven substrates.

Before application, the substrate must be dry, load-bearing and free from dust, grease and other adhesion-reducing substances. For highly absorbent or weak substrates, CT 17 can be diluted with water in a 1 to 1 ratio. The product is applied with a brush in one or more coats using the wet-on-wet method. The average drying time is approximately 2 hours, however this may vary depending on substrate absorption and ambient conditions.
Technical data:

Base - synthetic resin aqueous dispersion

Density approx. 1.0 kg/dm³

Working temperature +5 to +25 °C

Drying time approx. 2 hours depending on substrate

Consumption 0.1 - 0.5 l/m² depending on substrate absorption

Suitable for interior and exterior use

Application by brush

Volume 1 l
