<p>Wear-resistant urethane alkyd varnish for finishing the waterline areas of boats. Suitable for varnishing indoor and outdoor wooden surfaces. Used for varnishing wooden boats, yachts, above-waterline boat surfaces, cabins, and decks. Also suitable for window frames, doors, stairs, and other wooden surfaces and furniture details. Can be used on both new and previously varnished surfaces. Previously varnished or glossy surfaces should be sanded to a matte finish and ensure that the moisture content of the wood does not exceed 20%. The recommended surface temperature is +5 to +25°C, relative humidity 40 – 75%. It is not recommended to varnish in direct sunlight, drafts, or at elevated temperatures. Wash particularly dirty surfaces with EasyClean; in case of mold, use Biotol E. Surfaces must be allowed to dry before varnishing. If the surface has been varnished with a water-based varnish, remove the old varnish completely. Previously varnished surfaces do not require priming; bare wood can be primed with a mixture of varnish and white spirit (5:1).</p><p>Stir the varnish thoroughly and apply with a brush, spatula, or spray along the wood grain in a continuous coat from edge to edge. Apply 2 – 3 coats, observing the drying time between coats. Before applying the second coat, lightly sand the surface and remove dust. Perform a test application to check the color tone. During varnishing, ensure consistent humidity and ventilation, avoiding drafts to prevent defects. The final surface color will depend on the type of wood and the number of coats applied.</p><p>Drying time – 4 hours, recoating after 24 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. At lower temperatures and higher humidity, drying time increases. The varnished surface achieves wear resistance after 2 weeks. To clean the surface, use water and, if necessary, neutral or mildly alkaline (pH 6 – 8) cleaning agents and a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use organic solvents, abrasive cleaning agents, or rough sponges or brushes.</p><p>Work tools – brush, varnish roller, varnish spatula. Use high-quality tools. A varnish roller, even a new one, must be cleaned of loose roller fibers before use. Work tools must be clean, dry, and free of loose parts (brush or roller fibers). Clean tools with white spirit immediately after varnishing.</p>
