<p>Betokontakt is a ready-to-use bonding primer for dense, smooth and non-absorbent wall and ceiling surfaces before gypsum plasters, gypsum and lime plasters, bonding of plasterboard sheets and tiling. It is ideally suited for monolithic concrete or reinforced concrete ceiling slabs.</p> <p>The primer is vapour permeable, solvent-free, practically odourless and has very low emissions, making it environmentally friendly and safe for people.</p> <p>The primer is applied by hand or with a processing machine.</p><p>Betokontakt primer is used for interior work on dense, smooth and non-absorbent wall and ceiling surfaces.</p> <p>It is applied before gypsum plasters (e.g. MP75, MP75 L, Rotband), gypsum-lime plasters and also before bonding plasterboard sheets or tiling.</p> <p>Knauf Betokontakt is ideally suited for monolithic concrete or reinforced concrete ceiling slabs.</p> <u>Technical Data:</u><ul> <li>Material consumption 250 - 300 g/m²</li> <li>Creates a rough surface with good adhesion</li> <li>Drying time ~ 12 h</li> <li>Heat resistance (after drying) -20°C to +80°C</li> <li>Shelf life 18 months from date of manufacture</li> <li>Vapour and air permeable</li> <li>For application by hand or machine</li> <li>Solvent-free and environmentally friendly, tested to Emicode EC1PLUS</li><li>Packaging 5 kg</li> </ul><u>Instructions for Use:</u><p>The substrate must have sufficient load-bearing capacity, be dry, firm and sufficiently stable against deformation; free from dust, loose particles, oil, grease, release agents and processing agent residues, bonding layers, and dirt. Before use, Betokontakt must always be thoroughly mixed. It is applied undiluted, evenly by hand using a short-pile sheepskin roller or sprayed mechanically with a suitable PFT feed pump, e.g. Swing, and then rolled out with a sheepskin roller, fully covering the surface. Only in the case of mechanical application, a small amount of water may be added to prevent potential material thickening (maximum 1 l of water per 20 kg of Knauf Betokontakt) to achieve a consistency suitable for spraying. The temperature of the material, substrate and air during application and until the primer is fully dry must be above +5 °C. High substrate and air temperatures reduce the working time. Avoid draughts and direct sunlight during application.</p>
