Previously varnished glossy surfaces must be sanded to a matte finish and the sanding dust carefully removed. The moisture content of the varnished wood must not exceed 20%. The recommended surface and air temperature is +5 to +25°C, lacquer temperature +18 to +25°C, relative humidity 40 - 75%. New, dense wood surfaces (e.g. oak or beech) should be cleaned with white spirit. Rough wood surfaces can be lightly moistened with a stream of water, allowed to dry, and the raised wood fibers sanded down, carefully removing sanding dust. For previously varnished surfaces, it is recommended to test the compatibility of the old and new lacquer on a small area. For very dirty surfaces, use EasyClean cleaner, and for mold removal - Biotol E (Biotol Spray). After using the anti-mold agent, rinse the surfaces with water and allow them to dry. Priming is not necessary for previously varnished surfaces. Clean wood surfaces should be primed with a mixture of lacquer and white spirit in a ratio of 5:1. Outdoor wood surfaces should first be treated with Aura Biostop wood impregnation primer and then primed with diluted lacquer.

Before varnishing, stir the lacquer thoroughly and carefully to avoid forming bubbles, and stir it periodically during work to evenly distribute the gloss additive and tinting paste. Apply 2 - 3 coats along the wood grain, in a continuous direction from edge to edge, preferably in the direction of light, to cover the entire surface evenly. The number of lacquer coats depends on the porosity of the wood and the desired surface wear resistance. Each previous coat must be completely dry before applying the next coat. Lightly sand the first coat of lacquer with fine sandpaper (approx. 150) and carefully remove the sanding dust. If varnishing with tinted lacquer, use it only for the first coat to achieve the desired color tone. The final tone of the varnished surface will depend on the type of wood and the number of coats applied. For heavily used surfaces, it is recommended to use hardwood, as softwood species such as spruce, pine, and linden deform even after varnishing. During varnishing, ensure uniform humidity, temperature, and good ventilation, but avoid drafts. If work is carried out in a dry and hot room, reduce ventilation to prevent the formation of brush marks or a lower quality lacquer film due to the lacquer drying too quickly.

Drying time - 4 hours, recoating after 24 hours at 23ºC and 50% relative humidity. At lower temperatures and higher humidity, drying time increases. The varnished surface reaches wear resistance after 2 weeks. For surface cleaning, use water and, if necessary, neutral or mildly alkaline (pH 6 - 8) cleaning agents and a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use organic solvents, abrasive cleaning agents, or rough sponges or brushes.

Work tools - brush, lacquer roller, lacquer spatula. Use high-quality tools. The lacquer roller, even if new, must be cleaned of loose roller fibers before use. Work tools must be clean, dry, and free of loose parts (brush or roller fibers). Clean tools immediately after varnishing with white spirit.
